Data Outreach

Structures and Addresses Theme Lead outreach:

• Best practice exchanges:
  • NSGIC Address Committee member
  • NENA Site/Structure Address Point workgroup member

• Outreach to sources:
  • Typically, visit with counties or other address data providers to encourage data sharing and help them build their data.
  • Occasionally give a talk (or webinar) to local governments about building their source data.

• Outreach to users:
  • Present on Framework status or best practices at MAGIP conferences
  • Help users with geocoding using the geocoding web service

• When the dataset is re-published with updates, notification is sent to the State Library’s Geographic Information Facebook page and to the GIS community via the State Library’s GeoInfo email account.
