Publishing and Archiving
The MGNF is published when there are corrections to the data, when there are new Board on Geographic Names decisions, and new releases of the dataset from USGS. A copy of the dataset is submitted to the Montana State Library archive at the end of each calendar year if the dataset was re-published since the last submission to the archive.
