Success Stories

Perhaps the most important measure of success is patron use of MSDI data. Below we cite specialized uses and additional successes in the form of stewardship activities, reports, and the like.

• Compiling this much climate data to a common state standard is a major accomplishment which I don’t believe is duplicated by any other state climate office or perhaps even within the federal sector.

• The Climate Office has received a very positive response from private sector entities conducting business in Montana that are utilizing Montana Climate Office climate information for their own analysis.

• The Climate Office has received a very positive response from individuals who are now provided access to datasets that they would otherwise find challenging if not impossible to access due to technical constraints.
